West Coast Expansion Press Release

MD Now® Expands High-Quality Healthcare with Six Clinics on Florida’s West Coast

December 19, 2023 – Palm Beach Gardens, FL – MD Now® urgent care, the largest urgent care operator in Florida with more than 85 state-of-the-art clinics, has experienced significant growth in Florida’s West Coast in the final quarter of 2023.

Four West Coast Doctor’s urgent care clinics acquired by HCA Healthcare on October 1 recently rebranded to MD Now® urgent care, HCA Healthcare’s urgent care brand in the state of Florida. Two DeNovo clinics—Westchase (Tampa) and Clearwater South—also opened in the fourth quarter of 2023, adding a total of six clinics to MD Now’s growing presence on the West Coast.

“Bringing our high-quality healthcare model to more patients in West Coast Florida communities has always been a priority focus. This rebranding initiative combined with our two new clinics in Westchase and South Clearwater helps our building presence grow even stronger,” said Tina Miller, RVP, Chief Operating Officer of MD Now. “Having a larger footprint statewide means that patients will have more convenient access to the high-quality healthcare they deserve.”

Industry research shows that most consumers expect to travel 15 minutes or less for an urgent care visit (NRC Health’s Market Insights Survey, 2021). “Consumer demand for high-quality healthcare closer to home makes our West Coast expansion even more important,” Miller said.

Like all MD Now branded clinics, the West Coast clinics will provide:

  • Care for common illnesses and injuries
  • Treatment for sprains, strains, and broken bones
  • Injury care for cuts, scrapes, wounds, and abrasions
  • Lab testing
  • Digital X-rays and EKGs
  • Physicals for camp, sports, school, and work
  • Pre-operative evaluations
  • Vaccinations and immunizations
  • Occupational health
  • COVID-19 evaluations and testing
  • And more

MD Now’s affiliation with the HCA Florida Healthcare family of brands positions them to provide advanced, personalized continuum of care options to patients. No appointment is necessary for a visit, however MD Now also offers convenient online Web Check-In® to make the process as easy as possible. Patients select their clinic and notify MD Now what time they want to come in. They receive a text message when it’s time for their visit, so they can wait in their car, at home, or wherever it’s convenient for them.

“As MD Now continues to grow, our goal remains the same: provide patients with a convenient, high-quality healthcare experience,” Miller said. “We look forward to welcoming many new West Coast patients through our doors.”
