MD Now Offers Convenient, Affordable Flu Shots Just in Time for the Season’s Outbreak

Experts recommend getting the flu vaccine before flu season begins. MD Now makes this easy with pre-season flu shots and special savings coupons available online.

In preparation for the 2016–2017 flu season, Florida’s leading urgent care provider, MD Now®, is offering influenza vaccines at special cost savings. Shots are available at all 24 Florida locations, including its newest Hallandale Beach office, including holidays. No appointments are necessary.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend annual flu vaccines for all those six months of age and older, with only a few exceptions. These vaccines are especially important for people at high risk of developing complications, such as those over 65. The CDC does not recommend the nasal flu spray for the upcoming flu season.

In response to CDC recommendations, MD Now offers vaccines covering the full range of anticipated 2016–2017 strains, including the Adult and Pediatric Quadrivalent (4 Strain) Influenza Vaccine and Fluzone High-Dose Vaccine, recommended for those 65 and older. Costs for flu shots vary depending on the type of vaccine recommended, but MD Now will provide special coupons online and on Facebook to keep people from paying the price of sickness.

Better still, MD Now recommends taking every precaution against acquiring and spreading influenza. Although flu shots generally offer the best protection, additional measures include:

  • Washing hands often with soap and water to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Covering the nose and mouth with a tissue when sneezing to avoid spreading germs.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting any surfaces or objects that may be contaminated.
  • Avoiding close contact with others who are sick.
  • Staying home from work or school to avoid spreading the illness, if already infected.

Flu victims requiring treatment can count on convenient and affordable care at all MD Now locations. Walk-ins are welcome. For information on all MD Now locations throughout Indian River, Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, visit https://dev-www-mymdnow-com.mdgadvertising.com/locations.
