Yes. In collaboration with one of the top CLIA-certified high complexity laboratories in the nation and one that is qualified to perform this type of testing, MD NOW’s COVID-19 PCR assay is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
All patients who come in for a COVID-19 evaluation will be evaluated by a provider to assess their health history as well as symptoms, if any are present, before ordering a COVID-19 swab test.
The test we use is a nasal swab test. One of our trained medical professionals will use the swab to get a sample of nasal secretions to send to the lab. This is done by inserting the swab into your nostril approximately 1 inch into the nasal passage (mid-way).
Our team is working as quickly as possible to meet the needs of our community and provide test results back in a timely manner. Your test result will be available within 48 hours or less†. However, depending on when you came in to the clinic to get tested, results times may vary.
Your results can be viewed through the BioReference Laboratories patient portal. Follow the steps below to access your results.
1. Go to bioreference.com/patient-portal and select PATIENT PORTAL.
2. Click the CREATE AN ACCOUNT button and complete the registration process.
3. Results typically are available within 48 hours of your test. However, it may vary depending on the day and time the test occurred so please continue to check back regularly.

Yes, the PCR swab test for infection will allow MD Now to provide clearance for COVID-19. Your employer will determine return-to-work protocols.
