Dr. Dustin May

Dustin May, DO has practiced medicine in the Miami area since 2012, and has been a part of the MD Now physician-led team of healthcare professionals since 2018.

Dr. May completed his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and then earned a diploma in Pre-Medical Studies at Harvard University Extension School. He attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, where he graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. Before attending medical school, Dr. May had extensive experience in health policy roles in Washington, DC. He also worked as a research assistant in the Health Policy Department at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Dr. May began his medical career as an Internal Medicine resident at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami. He joined IPC Hospitalist Company as a Hospitalist in 2014, where he was credentialed at multiple Miami hospitals (including North Shore Medical Center, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and Aventura Medical Center). He then became a Hospitalist at South Miami Hospital. During this time, he also worked as a hospitalist as needed for Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine.  

Dr. May’s professional memberships include the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American Osteopathic Association. He was certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine in 2015.

Dr. May is published in the Oxford Handbook of Health Economics and co-authored articles about Medicare for multiple publications. He was also a contributing writer for Chimera (a publication of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons) as well as AMRPA Magazine (a publication of the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association).
